- Elvis Sersea, M.A., M.A.T. currently teaches online full time with Kaplan Academy of California as English Language Arts Department Chair, as well as an Adjunct Online Instructor for University of Phoenix, where he currently teaches MTE 538: Curriculum Constructs and Assessments: English, and is also the evening ESL Computer Lab Instructor for Wilshire Center, part of the School of Continuing Education of North Orange County Community College District, where he also hosts a variety of unofficial online resources designed to increase student enrollment and help ESL adult students bridge the digital divide. Elvis Sersea has had prior online teaching experience as a part-time online high school teacher in a synchronous setting, 3-4 hours a day, between 2006-2007. He has presented at a variety of technology workshops including the recent 2009 Online Teaching Conference in Aptos, California. He is also the founder of Teach Me Help Me Educational Services, through which he hosts over one hundred and thirty free educational and edu-social web-based services. Here we will discuss various trends in online education as well as follow some of the most helpful online teaching web tools and resources available.
