Students will receive up to 50 extra credit points to be added towards their final grade if they review each of the links below and write a 150+ word summary review of what they learned, and send it to me via e-mail at my kaplan.edu email no later than March 1st, 2010.

This is a great way for new students to become acquainted with our online learning system and resources, and also a wonderful way for students who have been here last semester to review all the resources available to them. Please click on each of the tutorials included in your online class “Announcements” section, take notes, and then send me an e-mail with what you have learned.

Educational success happens when there is constant collaboration between students, teachers, and parents. Without the strong, ongoing partnership between students, teachers, and parents, students are not likely to benefit fully from this and other courses.
In the spirit of motivating collaboration and success, I invite students to engage parents in this extra credit activity. Students are asked to view the following online tutorials with their parents and discuss them together. Parents are asked to contact me with a short note that they have viewed the tutorials and include any comments, or questions that remain, via telephone (949) 273-1873 (My office hours are Monday-Friday 7AM–3PM) or via E-Mail at isersea@kaplan.edu from the parent e-mail address. (If parents do not have their own e-mail address, students are requested to help their parents create an e-mail from http://hotmail.com )
Students who engage their parents in this learning and partnership proccess, and whose parents contact me via telephone or e-mail and verify this, will earn 50 points extra-credit towards their final semester grade. This extra credit assignment is due no later than March 1st, 2010.
